Poorer countries are hit hardest by climate change, as they struggle to manage the economic costs and health consequences of climatic disasters. However, women in the Global South are adopting smart technologies to respond. One such technology is the biogas digester, which simultaneously provides sanitation and animal waste management, a free, cleaner cooking fuel alternative, and produces organic fertiliser.
