Madeline Ostrander, an environmentalist journalist, ponders having children in a world with climate change. Elaborating on Paul and Anne Ehrlich’s theory about how the population boom and lack of resources would have terrible consequences for the world, she writes about the struggles that people such as herself, aware of the world’s reality, face when dealing with this personal, though with common, choice. She also writes about Meghan Kallman and Josephine Ferorelli, and their project Conceivable Future, through which they want to open a place for compassionate discussion regarding bearing kids in an era of climate change.
