Taina Hedman is an Indigenous Kuna woman and a key leader of the Kuna Youth Movement or MJK (Movimiento de La Juventud Kuna) and the Projecto de Mujeres (Women’s Project) in a remote area of Kuna Yala, Panama. She represents the rights and interests of Indigenous people throughout the country and supports local women to adopt agroecological methods of farming.
