UN Women with the Green Climate Fund has published a guidebook on gender mainstreaming, a brief on the role of women in climate change adaptation based on the Himalayan Climate Change Adaptation Program, and a report on decent work for Indigenous peoples. These publications underline the importance of women and Indigenous peoples in addressing and fighting climate change, and connect the role of Indigenous peoples to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The reports call for Indigenous peoples as well as Indigenous women to be seen as agents of change and be able to participate in the development of climate change measures as they constitute a particularly vulnerable population.
