Rachels Network introduces us to Erin Switalski and the work of Women’s Voices for the Earth. Within their projects, the organization has paid close attention to women’s beauty and hygiene products’ composition and the presence of toxic elements. In 2013, they found hazardous elements in Tide directed for moms; more recently, they found worrying elements in menstruation pads. For both discoveries, they have organized a campaign through social media, petitions, and offline demonstrations, attracting the media’s attention and pressing for changes and answers from the targeted company, with their voices being heard.
