Since, 2006 the world has been celebrating International Women Human Right Day to promote the human rights under various International Human Rights treaties like International Bill of Human Rights and Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women. Women Human Right Defenders often face the resistance from mainstream society for protecting women rights and environmental rights.
