The International Cooperative Alliance and the International Labor Organization have joined forces to analyze how emergent trends in cooperative economics influence gender equality and women’s empowerment. International challenges surrounding the sexual division of labor, including women’s pay, unpaid labor, the difficulties women face in advancing in the labor market, and disproportionate levels of labor precarity for women, are of key concern.
