Buffy Sainte-Marie is a Cree singer-songwriter, activist, and First Nations Indigenous woman living in Canada. Her work as a musician, especially from her new album Medicine Songs, reflects the struggles of Indigenous peoples who have been massacred and had their lands stolen.
