The result of existing inter- and intra-generational unequal gender relations work to ensure that women face unique challenges as a result of climate change. Using a gender lens to analyze the impacts of the climate crisis is not only important as a first step to begin to deal with gendered inequalities, it also allows us to squarely put women at the heart of the response by valuing their existing knowledge, skills and innovation through various platforms such like policy and implementation levels.
