The Institute for Figuring is an organization that makes use of art to tackle science education, and it was founded by twin sisters Margaret and Christine Wertheim from Queensland, Australia. The Wertheim sister started a project called Crochet Coral Reef, in which they stitched their own woolen reef ecosystem, having been exhibited all over Europe and in the United States.
