Deon Haywood, Executive Director of Women with a Vision, explains her work fighting for reproductive justice, LGBTQ rights and justice for survivors of Hurricane Katrina. She points out that recovery efforts in New Orleans have been multifaceted—on the one hand, economic growth has helped certain parts of the city grow, while other neighborhoods are still dealing with property loss and food deserts.
