Judith Daluz is organizing Filipina women into a cleaning business cooperative she created after breaking free from an exploitative employer. All of the workers at Damayan Cleaning Cooperative are also part owners, and approximately 50 percent of them are trafficking survivors. The co-operative has created an avenue towards labor independence, where these women workers own and control their modes of production and enjoy health care and better pay, freeing them from dependence on abusive labor arrangements.
