In this interview from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP20 meeting in Lima, Peru, Gertrude Kenyangi of Women’s Environment & Development Organization (WEDO) discusses how government accountability and gender-just climate solutions are critical to transformative social change. She illustrates how climate change abuses the rights of women and how this inequality is exacerbated in fragile economies; however, women are also  leading climate change mitigation and sustainable development through strategies such as subsistence farming and fuel-saving technologies.
