Lynn Henning is the recipient of the 2010 Goldman Prize, from North America. Henning is an activist who successfully exposed livestock factory farms that pollute the land and water in Michigan. She first started as a volunteer for the Michigan chapter of the Sierra Club, and was able to call on the state government to deal with the issue of water quality violations in these farms, as well as officials from the Environmental Protection Agency.
