Doctor Robin Wall Kimmerer is an Indigenous Potawatomi Professor of Environmental Biology at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York, as well as a scientists and writer. Kimmerer writes about the many gifts that we receive daily from planet Earth and the need to give back and develop a sense of gratitude for the Earth as part of our cultural evolution. She provides ways that we can practice reciprocity with our planet, including ensuring that the economy is aligned with ecology principles and respecting the ecosystems by not taking too much from it and understanding that growth is limited.
