Indigenous leaders from Michigan to Manitoba, emboldened by the resistance at Standing Rock, are asserting their right to self-determination and taking unprecedented action against the Canadian energy company Enbridge’s plans to expand a massive network of tar sands and fracked oil pipelines through treaty and tribal lands in the Great Lakes region.
