Afrodescendant communities in the West are particularly displaced by the negative impacts of climate change in cities. Women of color are on the urban frontlines of these communities. They are leading the struggle through mobilizing their communities and offering strategies to fight urban displacement caused by environmental issues and gentrification. This incredible Afro-Latino Fest in New York City video panel includes women speakers Nyasha Laing, Nasha Paola Holguin, Dr. Kesha Khan Perry, Ana Cristina da Silva Caminha, Zelene Pineda, and Thanu Yakupitiyage in dialogue about the issues at hand.
