An anthropologist and environmentalist by profession, Reetu Sogani is a grassroots practitioner and activist in Himachal Pradesh, India. Her work focuses on promoting people’s rights over their natural resources via policy and advocacy, protecting cultural and biological diversity, and improving community food security. She hopes to develop alternatives to the current definition of “development” which endorses liberalization, globalization and privatization.
